Rich Chocolate Pudding Pie

This chocolate pudding is the easiest recipe, which can be prepared in 20 mins. You must be thinking that it is a very fatty dish as it contains whipped cream, chocolate, and many more. But surprisingly not. The melted cookies bound with crust make this pudding pie tastier to eat, and healthy too.

One tablespoon canola oil

30 chocolate wafers (such as Nabisco’s Famous Chocolate Wafers)

3 ounces bittersweet chocolate, melted


¼ cup cornstarch

¾ cup of sugar

Two large egg yolks

¼ teaspoon salt

½ cup fresh raspberries

4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped

¼ cup unsweetened cocoa

One ¾ cups 1% low-fat milk, divided

One tablespoon white rum

Ten tablespoons fat-free frozen whipped topping, thawed


Step 1

To get ready crust, place wafers in a food processor; measure until finely ground. Add 3 ounces dissolved chocolate and oil; measure until mixed. Now press into the base and up sides of a 9 – inch pie plate in which you have kept the pie. You will need to freeze it for 15 minutes or until set.

Step 2:

To set up the filling, join sugar, cornstarch, cocoa, and salt in a huge pan; mix with a whisk. Add half of the milk and two yolks; mix with a speed until smooth. Mix in the excess milk. Cook over medium warmth for 5 minutes or until thick and bubbly, mixing continually. Eliminate from heat. Add 4 ounces chocolate, and mix until smooth. Mix in rum — empty filling into arranged outside. Cover with saran wrap; chill for 4 hours or until set. Present with raspberries and whipped beating.
